Century Tool Invests in Innovative Machine for Deep Hole Drilling with Milling

Century Tool announced it has invested in a CHETO IXN 3000 — a unique 7-axis CNC deep-hole drilling and milling machine tool and one of only five in the United States. Designed to enhance the mold making process, the CHETO IXN 3000 offers deep-hole gundrilling on one side with the unique capability of changing out the gundrill bit from a 5-gun locker. On the milling side, the machine features a 50-gun locker for changing out cutting tools.

Tooling Technology Names Sean Couse as New President

Tooling Technology has appointed Sean Couse as company president, replacing the retiring Gary Poeppelman who led Tooling Technology for the past 17 years. Couse, originally joining Tooling Technology as its controller in 2022, will guide the company to expand its markets, while looking for opportunities to gain efficiencies and better serve its customers. Additionally, he will collaborate with the TTG executive team and other TTG divisions to look for additional value streams.

Tooling Tech Group Adds Sockets to its Segen Quick Change System

Tooling Tech Group has added sockets to its family of Segen Quick Change devices, designed to complement the existing series of knobs and cylinders to speed setup. The sockets are available in three sizes, each designed to work with a standard Segen knob size including the PD250 micro knobs, the 375 mini knobs and the 438 knobs. These sockets mate with standard 3/8” socket drives--- so no special tooling is required.
